Kevin Rogers - Founder & Lead Technical Director

Kevin Rogers founded Root Design in 1997 and has over 12 years of experience building web projects of all shapes and sizes. He’s hand-coded sites on his own and led teams of developers to accomplish difficult tasks. Programmatically and aesthetically, web development has changed perhaps more than any other industry in its short tenure. Keeping abreast of technical advancements, new platforms and capabilities has been a surprisingly fun challenge for Kevin. He’s designed interfaces for IBM, developed content management systems and sales tracking software for Atlas Snow Shoe Company and built fully functional Intranets for large insurance companies.


Natalie Hansen - Creative Director

Natalie Hansen brings over 15 years of creative, marketing, and strategy experience to Root Design. She has extensive leadership skills and incorporates innovative ideas into multi-disciplinary marketing campaigns. She is best known for her keen aptitude in translating marketing objectives and bridging the gap between business strategies and consumer perception through award winning creative executions. Natalie has consulted with a myriad of companies including Sony, CBS Entertainment, The New York Post, United Airlines, Pfizer, Intel, Lexus, Sega, PlayStation, MasterCard, Universal Pictures, Time Inc. and other leading companies.  Natalie has also worked with advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi-Team One, Modem Media, Frog Design and Publicis. 


Dan Kowta - Design Director

Dan Kowta is Root Design’s creative lead in the development of rich media campaigns, identity, and user interface design. Dan has been art directing interactive projects for over 13 years. He provides creative vision and design expertise for our clients and has successfully directed and designed interactive projects for clients such as: Warner Brothers, Kreiss, Singapore Airlines, Sony, and Ask.com.


Hien Phan - Programming Director

For the last 12 years Hien has helped both venture funded startups and established Fortune 500 companies achieve their visions of a cutting-edge web presence. He has designed site architectures and acted as technical lead in projects with such companies as Intuit, Kaiser Hospital, Global Internet, Jump! Music, Plantronics, Javasoft, SBC, Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe, Acer America, Tektronix, Sony, Charles Schwab, and MCI.
